Point and find does not work

I downloaded this app to help find planets and stars. Nothing is where it tells you.

Lovely but mines inaccurate

The constellations were not lining up, not even the moon, and Im not talking by just a little bit. This app had the moon almost due north while it was rising on the eastern horizon. The other issue is that there are calibration instructions on the app. I tried other calibration methods that similar apps have used but no luck. Plus the horizon would never show up. I wish it would work for me but sadly its not cooperating on my iPhone 6.

Great, configurable app

Lets you toggle objects like planets and stars.

....Shoot for the stars!

Well I have read the reviews for this app and the majority of them are positive my husband seems to like it I know it will be great I cant wait to shoot for the stars! Starkat22....

Reach for the stars

The app is great! But it keeps asking for a registration code which I dont have

Not for seeing actual locations

Im looking at Orion right now, with my own eyes. This thing says its on the other side of the earth. 2 stars for looking cool.

Crashes

Every time I try to open it :(

Awesome

Awesome!!

no manual location

cannot set coords manually

Inaccurate

I could not find anything. Even the moon was in a different direction from where I was facing. Didnt work for me.

orientation is inaccurate

downloaded this to wait for taurus to rise so i can watch the taurid fireball shower. this app looks very nice but its completely useless if it cant orient correctly. taurus was east at the horizon first time i opened the app. second time it was north a few degrees above horizon. third time it was southeast and below horizon..

Horribly inaccurate

And they want money for it.

Amazing

This is amazing, I love astronomy, this helps a lot .

Great...

Great app, it changes your understanding of what is going on in the sky above your head. Thanks!

Those who have direction issues

Very nice app. It isnt overwhelming for the novice yet has just enough horsepower for advanced amateurs like myself who just need a little "goosing". To those with heading fails. Try a different device or location. The north side of my backyard displays the bad direction info due to a pretty strong yuckiness (one of those highly technical terms) due to buried power lines and what appears to be a long buried auto or other vehicle. Ive found phones and sky apps are not as tolerant of each other as apps and TABLETS. Which are a little more friendly to one another. I tend to think its the larger area inside a tablet helps when shielding /isolation is engineered. But I also tend to think its the tiny gremlins (you know the ones that Gates/Jobs created) living inside these toys are at fault too. However, that doesnt give apps a free pass. So if possible try a

Helpful

Shows exactly where to find any star relative to major constellations or just with coordinates

love

I LOVE THIS APP!! Im a big star lover and this app is so cool to use!

You cannot find the right ascention or declination of the star like it says you can

Anytime you click to try and find the RA and DEC it just asks you to if you to name a star in that constellation. Needs worked on, I needed this for the RA and DEC

Great

Its a great app for those starting to get into astronomy and for those who love looking at the stars
